Watsonairs 70th Anniversary Concert, May 3, 2026
Watsonairs 70th Anniversary Concert, May 3, 2026

What an incredible afternoon! Every seat in St. Joseph Church was filled, and concert-goers were treated to an amazing selection of songs spanning the last seven decades. The lineup included the delightful Sugartime Medley from the 1950s, the iconic Don't Stop Believing from the 1980s, the upbeat Happy from the 2010s, and concluded with the traditional finale of Watsonairs' concerts, A Perfect Day. Robert (Bob) Casgrain set the stage with a prelude to the concert and accompanied the Watsonairs and their guests in a stirring rendition of O Canada. Emcee Arlene Town added a touch of history about the Watsonairs and provided insights into the songs performed. Choir director, Amy Robinson, did a fabulous job directing the choir and piano accompanist Eric Bews was outstanding. In an exhilarating 'flash-mob' style, the Watsonairs were joined by the Prince Albert Children's Choir under Megan Fournier's direction and the Prince Albert Concert Choir led by Perry Acorn for a rousing performance of Joyful, Joyful! Watsonairs' Scholarship Bar and Shield Winner Ava Clifford delivered a breathtaking rendition of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables. The Watsonairs express heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph Church and their organizers, special performers and accompanists, all sponsors, generous donors, and guests, friends, and family for their unwavering support. All donations go to the operations of the Watsonairs and the Prince Albert Ronald McDonald House.
